CHURRASCO PORTUGRIL

Haven't blogged in two weeks... Sorry! I guess school wasn't as easy as I thought it'd be! I will do my very best to update this at least once a week from now on. :)

Churrasco Portugril is a super awesome Portuguese restaurant with outstanding chicken, something that almost everyone seeks from Portuguese restaurants.

Inside View

Bread and butter. Mmmmm. Dry. The flavour wasn't too bad, but the excessive flour on the outside of the loaf made it seem like I was kissing a pile of sawdust.

Sumol® Pineapple soda. When I smelled it, I noticed that it had an odd white wine-like smell, but after drinking it, I kinda liked it. It tastes like 7-up mixed with pineapple juice.

Mixed vegetables. Very well seasoned. I'm so glad that I wasn't presented with pasty, bland, and tasteless steamed vegetables, the way that most restaurants do. The spices and herbs used to cook these vegetables echoed the chicken's bold, garlicky flavours.

Parisian potatoes. I loved these, because they were not greasy, and were well seasoned without being obscenely salty!

Rice. Not the most amazing rice dish I've had in my life, but it tasted good.

Medium-spicy rotisserie chicken. To put it in a very cliché way, the chicken was "the star of the show". Its spices were very bold and full, but they didn't overpower any of the side dishes. When you cut into the chicken, you'll notice that it is very soft and fall-off-the-bone, and yet, the skin does not slide of the chicken. Bravo, Churrasco Portugril. :)
